*Sports Day* 15th Jan 2023 (Sunday) it was Makar Sankranti! Rotary Club of Pune Pride sports committee had planned *Sports Day @ PYC.* It included Table tennis, Carrom and this year Chess was introduced. Nearly 40 registrations were recd. *DGN Shital* Shah was the chief guest and the event was inaugurated by him by playing each game. That was so motivating to see that he could play all 3 games. Our club is having a yearly event of *Walkathon*. Prizes are given on monthly basis to the highest number of steps in that month. Prizes for November & December were given to the winners at the hands of *DGN Shital Shah* during inauguration event. As per the lots, partners were chosen for TT, Carrom & Chess. As the tournament started the atmosphere changed with cheering up the participants. Boys TT had many participants which was nicely conducted by Rtn. Vinay Jumade Simultaneously Carrom tournament also started. It was good to see that few members had participated in all the events. Carrom had mixed doubles format so the enthusiasm while playing was high with lot of cheers. The final aim was to have good assimilation and fun too! Special appreciation to Avinash & Vidya Jog for managing carrom tournament flawlessly. The sumptuous lunch was sponsored by one of our member Rtn Amol Nalavade. The age group for these matches was from 12 yrs to 75 yrs. It was fun to play with the young generation like Annets Rajas & Rajveer. The results were as follows: Table tennis - Rajas Bhave & Ujwal Kele as Winners & Runners respectively. 2. Carrom - Ujwal Kele/ Ravi Moholkar and Avinash Jog/Sunita Kele as Winners & Runners respectively. 3. Chess - Ravi Moholkar & Rajveer as Winners & Runners respectively. This Sports Day event was a well planned, well executed and well participated event and was a great success! Round of applause for Pres. Ujwal Kele, Dir.
