President Deepak Phadnis and his team conducted a press conference on 4th June 2018, at Patrakar Bhavan. Deepak Phadnis, Ravi moharkar - Director Public image and IPP Ravi Kulkarni attended. Also Suvarnatai from the participating organisation, Jnana Prabodhini, alongwith 3 Asha workers attended. Several newspaper reporters were around, among them Sakal, Lokmat etc. Sufficient interest was generated after a dialogue interaction between Suvarnatai and Asha workers. Sandeep Kortikar, a journalist from Pune, for Pune News, was asking about Rotary International Foundation and how we get finance from it for projects. We explained to them the whole process of how we donate to the Foundation and get back many times for projects. We have successfully delivered a message, that we are a different club, particularly when it comes to society oriented projects. Sandeep said, "your Rotary Club is different from the other Rotary clubs. I have seen that the other clubs are engaged in only e entertainment programs and parties!" Also an appeal was made by us to the reporters to spread the message of our project to ask corners of Maharashtra State. The reporters have noted our names and telephone numbers . Overall, President Deepak and his team have done quite some image building of Rotary International and Rotary Club PUNE Pride by explaining in short and succinct manner about background and role of Rotary to the reporters present.
